I absolutely love this picture. Food is top drawer, service is excellent and always friendly, but the best thing is the cask ale...one of the best pints of Butty Bach I've had in a very long time and I know from previous experience that the HPA is stunning too!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Service was amazing. The food was incredible and plenty of it. The Arancini Balls were cooked to absolute perfection! Opted for the Braised Beef Brisket, Sunday roast (I wasn't a fan of the beef, but that's just personal preference, nothing to do with the chef, etc. I would definitely visit again and pick a different meat) proper puffed up Yorkshire puddings, delicious roasties, Veg was cooked perfectly for me (although my partner not so much a fan of al dente veg) generous serving of gravy in a side boat. Would 100% recommend a visit.

Had a really nice meal here with my other half and our old fannii dog in a buggy. The staff were very friendly. The food and service great. The village is beautiful and the ancient oak tree outside always blows my mind. I think my husband remembers it when it was a twig!! Outside areas. Dog friendly. All a pub should be.

This is my favourite countryside pub, which stands in idyllic surroundings right next door to a lovely country church and community centre. I have lost count of the number of years I have visited this pub, and the number of owners I have known there. It is delightful on sunny days to sit outside with a drink and a great lunch and experience a true taste of a relaxed country pub. Highly recommended, if you have not visited, give it a try.

It was incredible! Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection. The starter was heaven on a plate, Camembert topped with red onion chutney & sourdough bread - oh my! Then apple crumble with salted caramel ice cream to die for! So good to find food that’s not just “pub grub” same old same old. I want to return for the rest of the menu and the tapas. Plus it doesn’t allow under 12s which is great for a grown up meal!

Wow, what a cracking place to eat! Food was amazing and really generously portioned, staff were lovely, and we spent our entire meal basking in the sun! Location is very picturesque too, and with outdoor seating and a beer garden, very dog friendly (that said, I think they allow dogs indoors too!). Will definitely be coming here again to sample the weekday menu - the Sunday roasts were epic!
